Twelve South today announced the updated and third iteration of the Hoverbar, a 22-inch long flexible arm for iPad.
The new Hoverbar 3 ($99.99) ships with three clips, allowing you to connect either an iPad (2-4th gen), iPad Air and iPad Mini — although if you own a Hoverbar already, you can simply buy the clips independently for $19.99 each from the Twelve South.
Its padded “easy on/easy off” clamp is attachable to any ledge like a desk or kitchen counter, and can also be clamped down to your Apple display or iMac’s stand so that your iPad can be used as a second screen.
Assuming the main bar is being used, Twelve South also throw in a useful display kickstand, meaning you can still use your iPad hands-free on any flat surface.
“iPad can be so much more than a portable tablet – but the first thing you need to do is get it out of your hands,” says Andrew Green, Creative Director at Twelve South.
We’ll be trying to get a Hoverbar 3 in for review, so be sure to follow Let’s Talk Tech on Twitter to stay updated.
