Over the years, Samsung’s Galaxy line up have challenged as worthy contenders to be “the best smartphone”, and in doing so, a particular trend has come about.
It started with the Samsung Galaxy S2 having a smaller brother created — the S2 Mini — and since then, the S3 and S4 have follow the same trend. This line up is not about to end though since @evleaks published a picture of the brand new S5 Mini which is being called the Samsung S5 Dx and will come in multiple colours (grey, blue, white, brown/gold and green).

Based on the image leaked through the Samsung website, the brand new heart rate monitor seems to be absent, however other features available on the S5 are still to question.
Even though many of the features will most probably be dropped out and not available on the new Samsung S5 Dx, it looks as if Samsung are trying to step away from the Mini versions of their phones being seen as the lacking behind Samsung smartphone.
Samsung could have chosen the launch of the brand new S5 Mini (Dx) as the perfect time to rebrand the name but even so, the leaked specs from early April still seem to lack behind a little.
