How To Fix “Your Connection Is Not Private” Error On Windows 10

Having issues with the “Your connection is not private” error when you try to access Google on Windows? Follow these 3 simple steps for an easy fix…

I’m getting ready for a late-night work session and once I turned on my Acer Aspire Switch 11 V, I can’t seem to access Google. Talk about inconvenience…

My first though was: “shit, Microsoft must really want me to use their Edge browser and Bing instead.”

It’s sceptical, I know, but you can’t blame me! I couldn’t use Google Chrome or access Google.com on the Edge browser either. It was really weird.

The solution

However it turns out that Microsoft isn’t so evil after all. The problem was that, for some weird reason, my date and time settings on Windows 10 were way off. About a month old to be precise.

To fix this “Your connection is not private” error that pops up when you try to access Google, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Click on the time/date which is found on the bottom right side of your Windows dock.
  2. At the bottom you’ll see “Date and time settings”. Click that.
  3. On this next screen, configure the date and time accordingly and “Set time automatically” if it’s not done already.

That’s it! Once you’ve fixed your date and time on Windows 10 you should be able to access Google.com without any problems.

Let me know if this helped you in the comments!
