It’s not new to see Amazon experimenting with ways to get your parcel from their warehouse to you as quickly as possible, and whether this involves driving or flying, they’re testing it. They’ve now added a same-day pick up service for customers.
The service comes after a recent partnership with Connect Group’s newspaper and magazine distribution arm, Smiths News.
So far there are 500 locations involved, including newsagents, corner shops and tube stations — and as long as you’ve ordered before 11:45am you’ll be able to pick up the parcel after 4pm the same day.
It will start as a free service for all users who are subscribed to Amazon Prime, however will cost £4.99 for non-members.
